Run Log 20250615

15 June 2025 ·

This is my third run of the week. I again increased my recovery pace and distance to understand how my legs and muscle injury are feeling now. From what I can say now, things are going better slowly.

My running isn’t working out at the moment. My legs still feel sluggish, and I’m unable to get any proper pace in them, and on top of it all, my body metrics are off, too. It’s a bit frustrating as I have no clue what the root cause of this situation is. It’s as if I need to start from the ground up after not having run for an extended period, which isn’t the case.

Anyhow, for now, I will continue to plan for short 30-minute runs with at least one or two days of rest in between. Hopefully, I will see myself improve again over the next two to three weeks.

This run is my second of the week, as I’m still taking it a bit easier due to continuous fatigue in my legs. I went out for a little over 30 minutes this morning, running at recovery pace and doing a three-minute fartlek exercise halfway. I plan to go for a slow, longer run tomorrow to complete this week with a third run.

I’m aiming to start this week strong with an 8k recovery run. Let’s see how I can progress from here. My goal is to complete three runs this week without feeling injured or fatigued along the way.

This 19-minute run is my easy ‘comeback’ run after 5 days of recovery and zero running. My body battery isn’t yet where I want to be, but at least my legs feel a lot better than they did last Sunday. Depending on how I wake up tomorrow (I have a 50th birthday party tonight), I will go for another run.
