My Day in Three for today:

  1. I started today by watching F1 qualifying for the China Grand Prix, which is tomorrow. As a long-time Formula 1 fan and watcher, I’m still struggling to get used to these new cars. I sincerely hope the teams can innovate fast against current constraints and regulations.
  2. We went to Utrecht in the afternoon to buy my son his first suit. He needs it for his upcoming graduation. Seeing him wear a suit made me proud. I’m amazed how fast these 18 years have gone by.
  3. I went to the gym for the third time this week to work on my core strength. Tomorrow I’ll complete this week’s exercise plan with a run. I’m looking forward to it. I enjoy running a lot more than working out in a gym.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I again brought my daughter to school this morning. We’re having strong winds and lots of rain, which made riding a bicycle a bit too much for her. My son, of course, didn’t complain and cycled to school.
  2. I worked from the office today because I like being there on Fridays. It’s nice and quiet, and it’s easier to focus on what needs to be done. I watched the sprint qualifying of the Formula One race in China from the office with colleagues who enjoy F1 racing just as much as I do.
  3. We had friends over tonight for a drink and dinner. What a great way to start the weekend.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I went to the gym early this morning to work on my core stability. This is a follow-up to the physiotherapy sessions I have been doing since mid-December. For the next 8 weeks, I will train on a Sensopro to improve my running posture and strengthen my core. While it is all for the better, I don’t yet know if I’ll enjoy this type of exercise much. Let’s see.
  2. A large part of my morning at work is spent on finishing my annual ethics and compliance training. In the afternoon, I’ve been thinking about how I would design and build an HCM system from the ground up if I were to start today.
  3. I watched another episode of Sergio over de Grens (Dutch) tonight. This episode features Herman Brusselmans. I liks Brusselmans’ sense of humor. He is a great writer too. I’ve read two or three of his books.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I brought my daughter to school by car today. The weather isn’t too good (rain!), and if she had cycled for 40 minutes, she probably would have been soaking wet by the time she arrived. I enjoy being one-on-one with my kids in the car, as it often leads to good conversations we wouldn’t have at home because of the distractions there.
  2. My day in the office was productive. While I had a lot of meetings today, they were useful and effective in achieving outcomes. It’s not always like that.
  3. When I got home, I learned that my son had passed his midterm driving exam. I’m happy for him, and I hope it will go the same with his final exam next month.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I caught up with my local team in the office today, and we discussed all sorts of work topics. It’s good to see them in person again.
  2. I enjoyed the skip-level meeting with my team members in the UK and India. I’ve been doing this twice a year for two years now, and I like how the team is candid and transparent with me. Together with my leadership team, we’ve clearly created a safe space.
  3. I watched another two episodes of Sergio over de Grens (Dutch) tonight. I like this series so much that I might finish the whole third season before the weekend.
