My Day in Three for today:

  1. Mastodon turned 10 today: I think I joined the Fediverse only 2-3 years ago. I like it there. It’s a place with friendly people and a timeline I control. The Fediverse and Mastodon allow me to use the internet the way I want to. I consider RSS and Mastodon my proxies to the internet, and I like it like that.
  2. I had a good laugh this morning with my team over coffee in the office. We caught up on last weekend’s Formula 1 race and enjoyed all the memes out there. “Vibrando Alonso” is amongst my favorites.
  3. I went to the gym tonight to do my workout. I did 2 sets of 10 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on a bicycle, and 15 minutes on the Sensopro. Next up: relaxing on the couch with my book.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I did another 7K run this morning. I ran the same route as last week in the opposite direction in exactly the same time. On to next week.
  2. I installed another self-hosted application on my Synology NAS this afternoon. Navidrome is a personal music streaming service I will be testing with the TestFlight version of Arpeggi as a music client. I listened to Ben Liebrand’s Grandmix 1995 to check my setup. I bought this album recently because it brings back many good memories. I was almost 18 when this mix played on the Dutch national radio.
  3. I helped my son a bit this evening with his maths test he has tomorrow. It’s his final test before his exams in May and he’s stressed about it.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I started today by watching F1 qualifying for the China Grand Prix, which is tomorrow. As a long-time Formula 1 fan and watcher, I’m still struggling to get used to these new cars. I sincerely hope the teams can innovate fast against current constraints and regulations.
  2. We went to Utrecht in the afternoon to buy my son his first suit. He needs it for his upcoming graduation. Seeing him wear a suit made me proud. I’m amazed how fast these 18 years have gone by.
  3. I went to the gym for the third time this week to work on my core strength. Tomorrow I’ll complete this week’s exercise plan with a run. I’m looking forward to it. I enjoy running a lot more than working out in a gym.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I again brought my daughter to school this morning. We’re having strong winds and lots of rain, which made riding a bicycle a bit too much for her. My son, of course, didn’t complain and cycled to school.
  2. I worked from the office today because I like being there on Fridays. It’s nice and quiet, and it’s easier to focus on what needs to be done. I watched the sprint qualifying of the Formula One race in China from the office with colleagues who enjoy F1 racing just as much as I do.
  3. We had friends over tonight for a drink and dinner. What a great way to start the weekend.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I went to the gym early this morning to work on my core stability. This is a follow-up to the physiotherapy sessions I have been doing since mid-December. For the next 8 weeks, I will train on a Sensopro to improve my running posture and strengthen my core. While it is all for the better, I don’t yet know if I’ll enjoy this type of exercise much. Let’s see.
  2. A large part of my morning at work is spent on finishing my annual ethics and compliance training. In the afternoon, I’ve been thinking about how I would design and build an HCM system from the ground up if I were to start today.
  3. I watched another episode of Sergio over de Grens (Dutch) tonight. This episode features Herman Brusselmans. I liks Brusselmans’ sense of humor. He is a great writer too. I’ve read two or three of his books.
