MDiT for 20251231

31 December 2025 ·

[My Day in Three](https://schoonens.social/categories/mdit/) for today:

1. I went to the office again today because, with school vacations, it’s not quite enough to work from home. There were about 10 or 15 people in the office, where there are usually more than 300. I enjoyed the quiet and finished my remaining tasks for this year.
2. I was home around four in the afternoon. My wife and I enjoyed a nice drink and celebrated that I am off until January 5th. After a glass of wine, we prepared a family meal together.
3. We’re spending New Year’s Eve with friends and our children tonight. We’ve been doing it this way for the past couple of years, and we all enjoy it.

[My Day in Three](https://schoonens.social/categories/mdit/) for today:

1. I had a productive day at the office, with just two meetings and plenty of time to focus on the topics I wanted to finish before the end of the year.
2. This evening, I had dinner at [Hotel New York](https://hotelnewyork.com).
3. I also took another iconic picture of the Erasmus Bridge. I already have many similar shots in my archive, but the view never disappoints.

[My Day in Three](https://schoonens.social/categories/mdit/) for today:

1. Today was the first day back in the office, which meant dealing with a WebEx and an Outlook backlog.
2. I added lots of tasks to my to-do list to pick up tomorrow and the day after, as it will be quiet at work and I have hardly any meetings.
3. I have some tech tinkering to do later this week as I ordered two new hard drives for my Synology NAS.

[My Day in Three](https://schoonens.social/categories/mdit/) for today:

1. It is still beautiful weather over here, so my wife and I decided to go for a long walk this morning. It was a good way to stretch your legs after sitting down for over 11 hours in the car yesterday.
2. I cleaned out our family car, both on the inside and the outside. It was so dirty returning from Austria that it took me over an hour to get it back into proper condition.
3. I used the evening to do all my necessary end-of-year admin.

[My Day in Three](https://schoonens.social/categories/mdit/) for today:

1. We left Austria this morning at 06:30 and returned home a little after 18.00. Traffic wasn’t too bad today. We spotted a deer early this morning while driving down the mountain.
2. I enjoyed listening to the [Top 2000](https://www.nporadio2.nl/top2000) all day today, especially when Kraftwerk was on with [Autobahn](https://song.link/i/726155181) while we were cruising the ‘3’ through Germany.
3. We had a quick family dinner at [this](https://theehuisrhijnauwen.nl) restaurant just before we returned home, as we didn’t want to order or prepare a meal ourselves.
