This was such a nice post to read, bringing back so many SimCity memories. As a kid, I used to prototype my cities on paper too. Mainly because I had to share our computer with my younger brother and wanted to get the most out of my time on it.

Text Shot: I took to SimCity 2000 with an obsessive addiction. I’d play during every waking minute, even leaving our family computer on overnight so I’d have plenty of money (& growth) when I woke up to check it before school.&10;&10;I was in eighth grade at the time, I and remember prototyping SimCity maps on college ruled paper and pencil on the bus to school. It was the first time I ever prototyped.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. My son was unlucky; his skis slipped while taking a corner on his second run today. Result: a dislocated shoulder.
  2. After visiting the doctor, we changed our plans for the rest of the day and came up with an approach for the rest of the ski holidays. We will be skiing in the morning and enjoy walking in the afternoons.
  3. I read my book the rest of the afternoon and enjoyed the fantastic view.

“My 2026 goal is to be bored more often”

My Day in Three for today:

  1. It took us 8,5 hours to drive 650 kilometers today. The German highways were busier than I expected.
  2. We listened to a few podcasts in the car today, including one about this Dutch documentary about Myanmar.
  3. We visited the city of Nuremberg tonight and enjoyed the Christmas spirit here. It was a wonderful experience.
