My Day in Three for today:

  1. I had a good and productive day at the office. I virtually hosted our quarterly product review meeting, where we track and discuss progress against our product plan for the fiscal year.
  2. I returned home fairly late, and after a quick dinner, I continued to help my son organize his paperwork for the upcoming school year.
  3. I’m calling it a night early tonight since I have a busy day tomorrow.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. Monday, the first day of this work week. Oh wait, no, it’s Tuesday already. I probably thought that six or seven times today while looking at my calendar. The luxury of a four-day workweek, which we have a few of in April and May in Europe, and I love them.
  2. I did my workouts at the gym this morning:20 minutes working on my core, 25 minutes of Fartlek running on the treadmill, and 10 minutes of cycling to cool down after my run. I plan to keep this schedule for at least another four weeks before testing my endurance and pacing.
  3. My son is turning 18 next week, which means he needs to become financially independent and handle his own finances. I helped him prepare for this tonight.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. We had our traditional family brunch at the Barbarossa Beach today. Based on the kids’ ages, we guess this is our ninth or tenth time in a row.
  2. Today was a day off, so once back home, I enjoyed reading my book in the sun until early in the evening. As you can see in the picture the weather was amazing up until now.
  3. I watched episode S03E10 from the Apple TV series Shrinking. It’s easy television that puts a smile on my face; what more can I ask for?

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I was awake early today because of the winds hitting the house. I took the opportunity to go downstairs early to prepare our family’s Easter breakfast. We had breakfast for three as my son woke up at his girlfriend’s family today.
  2. I headed out to the gym after breakfast, where I cycled for 30 minutes, worked on my core for 20 minutes, and finished with a fartlek run on the treadmill.
  3. The rest of today was quite relaxing with a short visit to my in-laws and my parents and spending the rest of the afternoon at home in front of the television to watch the Tour of Flanders.

My Day in Three for today:

  1. I’ve been thinking about further optimizing my home energy use by adding a battery to store the energy generated by my solar panels. I considered creating a business case to model this setup, but instead I found this Home Assistant plugin that simulates the presence of a battery in my home and uses the actual energy produced and consumed to calculate the savings.
  2. I exchanged cars with a friend so he can use our bigger family car to drive to Austria tomorrow to go skiing (again).
  3. Tonights sixth episode of Wie is de Mol (NL) was a good one.
