Run Log 20250617

17 June 2025 ·

I’m in Prague this week for work. Today, between my last meeting and a dinner in the city tonight, I had a two-hour break. I used this time to go for a 30-minute city run, avoiding tourists.

Week #024 is already ending, which means we are almost halfway through 2025. With my kids growing up and my private and work life busy, this year appears to be going faster than ever. In just a month, I will be enjoying our annual summer holiday break, and boy, do I look forward to it this year.

Enjoy reading my weekly update, and see you again next week.

This is my third run of the week. I again increased my recovery pace and distance to understand how my legs and muscle injury are feeling now. From what I can say now, things are going better slowly.

52 Weeks – Week 38

13 June 2025 ·

I’m collecting 52 songs in 52 weeks. Every Friday afternoon, I add a song to my playlist. The aim is to capture my energy and feelings for that particular Friday with the chosen song.

Week 38/52: Messy – Lola Young

After 52 weeks, I will have recorded all the seasons, holidays, and high and low weeks of the year (from October 2024 to September 2025) in one self-curated playlist on Apple Music. Don’t use Apple Music? Subscribe to weekly updates via RSS.

Run Log 20250611

11 June 2025 ·

My running isn’t working out at the moment. My legs still feel sluggish, and I’m unable to get any proper pace in them, and on top of it all, my body metrics are off, too. It’s a bit frustrating as I have no clue what the root cause of this situation is. It’s as if I need to start from the ground up after not having run for an extended period, which isn’t the case.

Anyhow, for now, I will continue to plan for short 30-minute runs with at least one or two days of rest in between. Hopefully, I will see myself improve again over the next two to three weeks.
