Pausing my half marathon training plan in week 8

18 May 2025 ·

I’ve decided to pause my half-marathon training plan as my body isn’t recovering enough for me to intensify my training. I will continue running to remain consistent over the next two weeks, but will not engage in any intense interval training or long runs. I hope to see my HRV increase and my RHR decrease by doing so.

While I’m disappointed with the current results, this is just the way it is.

@camiel sorry to hear, but I do get this and it does happen in the long process. Hopefully, with a couple down weeks you will be feeling back to normal and can jump back in!

Thanks, I’ll be fine for sure. There is no need to prepare for a race or improve my personal best (PB) other than my own desire to do so. Running without a race planned should be fine, too.
