What my RSS feeds say about me
I recently updated my blogroll and podroll slash pages. I used a full export of every website and podcast I follow to create the pages. In an afterthought, I asked Claude to analyse my personality based on my listening and reading habits. This is what it came up with.
Professionally driven but intellectually curious beyond work. The HRtech feed and Lenny's Podcast signal someone who stays sharp in their field, but Acquired, Decoder, and FD Achter Gesloten Deuren show someone who thinks well beyond their own industry. You're interested in how businesses and power structures work, not just product management.
Deeply Dutch, globally oriented. Your podcast list is predominantly Dutch: NOS, NRC, BNR, NPO. Your blog subscriptions skew heavily international and English. You consume Dutch media to stay grounded in where you live, and English media to stay connected to where your field is heading.
A tinkerer who reads widely. The homelab blogs, Met Nerds om Tafel, Tweakers, and De Technoloog sit alongside personal blogs about photography, walking, and slow living. You're someone who likes to build things but also values reflection and craft. The IndieWeb, small personal sites, no major publications, suggests you care about the web as a human-scale place.
Quietly passionate about a few specific things. Formula 1 has four dedicated podcast feeds. Photography shows up repeatedly. Running gets its own podcast. These aren't casual interests.
Surprisingly accurate, I think.
