I followed up with the advice from Willem this morning during the 30-minute recovery run I had planned for today.

Being patient with my running is challenging for me. I shared with Willem yesterday that I always want to feel a little exhausted after a run, and because of that, I almost always run too fast. Willem is right, though; I should train more in zones 2 and 3 to increase my pace over time. So that is what I did today, with 45% of my run being in Zone 2 and the remaining in Zone 3. My average heart rate was precisely 130 bpm.

@camiel I am terrible at following this advice. It is something that I constantly try to do as I know everyone says there is great benefits here. My problem is I typically have a pending appointment that is looming so I fall back into the same pace which probably isn’t helping in the long run.
