I ended up writing these things this thingsThisWeek one day later than usual while waiting for my flight to depart for Barcelona. The weekend was busy and fun, and because of that, I didn’t have time to sit down and reflect on my last week.
I’m keeping it short, enjoy reading the updates below.
- May 5th is a bank holiday in the Netherlands once every five years, and so it was last Monday. We celebrated WWII liberation day in my hometown with a community lunch.
- My workweek started on Tuesday, and I spent the majority of the week working on three presentation decks and storyboards. One presentation is for today, as I will be speaking at a conference my employer is hosting in Barcelona.
- I was home with my two kids over the weekend while my wife was away on a city trip to Leuven, Belgium. The three of us at home had good fun together and enjoyed the good weather in the garden. Of course, we also prepared for Mother’s Day on Sunday morning while their mother was out having fun.
- I picked up my running again last week and completed close to 30 kilometers of training. I brought my gear to Barcelona this week to continue my training schedule.
- Sunday evening, we reserved it for family quality time. With everyone back at home, it was nice to watch some TV together (on the iPad) on the porch in the evening sun.
