I’m again summarizing two weeks in this update. The past two weeks were my first two weeks of my three-week summer holiday this year. As most followers know, my family and I are in Italy. As nothing is work-related to share, everything below covers my holiday experience.
Have fun reading.
- I’m blogging this year’s Italy updates under the tag Italy 2025. The tag includes pictures taken, runs accomplished, and other things during our holidays.
- Most of the pictures I’ve taken have not yet been uploaded to this website. I’ve tried editing some of the RAW images that I took in Lightroom mobile, but I don’t like the experience compared to the desktop version. You must wait until I return home for some beautiful Italian scenery.
- We spent our first holiday week with friends. We enjoyed each other’s company a lot, and our kids probably spent 16 hours a day together at the pool, in restaurants, and going shopping. Other parents will recognize this; if your kids aren’t bored, you can relax best, and that’s what we’ve done.
- We enjoyed great restaurants in the Marche and have been dining in a different restaurant every night. The food here is fresh and tasty. Fish, fresh vegetables, pasta, and pizza are the main dishes we are enjoying.
- I’m reading a lot on my e-reader at the poolside. For this summer, I chose a hard but amazing Dutch novel that will take me over 30 hours to complete.
- Running is going well as long as I adjust my pace to the hills, temperatures, and wine consumption during these days. I mainly focus on consistency by completing 3-4 runs a week. When I return home, I will increase my pace and prepare for my late September charity run.
