Week #024 is already ending, which means we are almost halfway through 2025. With my kids growing up and my private and work life busy, this year appears to be going faster than ever. In just a month, I will be enjoying our annual summer holiday break, and boy, do I look forward to it this year.
Enjoy reading my weekly update, and see you again next week.
- Last Monday, we enjoyed our last bank holiday of the year and spent time with friends on a lake nearby (Dutch Link). The weather wasn’t too good until 2 p.m., but it cleared after that. We even had some sunshine in the late afternoon.
- Starting the week with a bank holiday results in me forgetting what day it was during the rest of the week. This followed me until Thursday which led to some funny encounters at work.
- I couldn’t watch WWDC on Monday evening, but I rewatched the event on Wednesday. I’m not too impressed with Apple’s UX refresh. Compared to the UX refresh from iOS 7, I apparently got older and wiser, and I’m no longer intrigued by such a refresh. I do look forward to the next version of iPad OS. I use my iPad as a laptop while traveling, and I will certainly enjoy MacOS-like features on the iPad.
- Friday night, my daughter celebrated her 14th birthday with her friends. She hosted a three-course dinner for them in the garden, and my wife and I were the waiters for the evening. It was fun to see her interact with her girlfriends, some of whom I’d never seen before, because they live in a different town and only see each other at school.
- The weekend was relaxing overall. On Sunday, I completed my third run for the week. However, due to a small muscle injury, I’m still taking things slow.
