De 3 van The Police 🔖

Bijna was heel The Police (in 2021 met 8 nummers in de lijst der lijsten) dit jaar voor concerten in Nederland, zij het afzonderlijk. Zowel Sting als drummer Stewart Copeland van The Police traden op in ons land, de geplande shows van gitarist Andy Summers werden helaas gecanceld. Ook verscheen een Police-concertfilm uit 1982 opgepoetst en wel. En er schijnt meer aan te komen volgens de curator van het archief: diezelfde Andy Summers. Leo beschouwt de carrières van Sting, Andy en Stewart vóór The Police en dompelt zich onder in die vijf productieve en o zo succesvolle jaren vanaf het debuut Outlandos D’Amour uit 1978.

Heerlijke podcast aflevering over The Police met Leo Blokhuis. Zoveel goede muziek in slechts vijf jaar gemaakt. Ongelooflijk.

I see myself as a culture builder and a driver of change. As a leader I’m proud when people look back at my legacy and describe me as a person who delivered on his promises. This is what I stand for and would be the culture I would want to leave behind with any team that I work with.
